Technic "Steampunk" Motorcycle

Name of Model: Fatasse 1929 with Y9 'MaxOverBlown' engine
Created by: ~:Lola:~ who is on flickr and MOCPages
Found at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/zenerves/sets/72157625616257670/with/5263846343/ or http://mocpages.com/moc.php/184209
Details: Every once in a while, someone does away with the goofiness of fanciful airships and instead does something "steampunk"-ish by actually doing something great with a Victorian-era technical idea. Sure, things can look cool if they're using that style, but it'd have to actually run on a boiler to really hit the spot.

To be honest, I'm not up-to-speed on the topic enough to know if this is truly based on the design used in 1929 in a failed attempt at setting a new motorcycle landspeed record (a few quick Google searches didn't turn up anything decisive). This model, though, looks like it has the right amount of detail and could compete nicely with most of the official motorcycle kits. The engine in particular is very well fleshed out.

Ben 10's Swampfire - As a Motorcycle!

Name of Model: Swampfire Motorcycle
Created by: Moctagon Jones
Found at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/moctagon/5004021967/
Details: You may be familiar with the "impossible to build with" series of Ben 10 Alien Force LEGO action figures. This model takes the Swampfire kit and turns it into a motorcycle. Not so useless now, is it? The wheel assemblies make great use of Technic bits to attach into the few connecting spots that the Ben 10 parts actually have. The handle bars make great use of the minifig gun/torch element to use the holes the Ben 10 torso has for spikes. Rumor has it that that element is being phased out in favor of a newer, simpler mold soon - either way, it's great for turning odd bits intended for bars that fit minifig hands into places you can build off of.

Shiny Motorbike

Name of Model: Gold Bike
Created by: Moko
Found at: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=275681
Details:
Moko has been surprising me with his series of models made with chrome LEGO® pieces. I have no idea how he managed to get such a stockpile of these. I do know, though, that this is one awesome bike. I'm not sure quite what type of wheels are being used here, but I love the way they're attached. The windshield and lights look great too - the lights look like those small newer slopes in transparent colors to me. I'm a bit jealous - I don't have any of those. If you want to try making something like this, make sure to check out the shot that explains the studs-not-on-top part placement.

Detailed minifig-scale Motorbikes

Name of Model: Motocross Rally
Created by: Noddy
Found at: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=266802
Details:
There are really amazing - you really have to take a close look at them yourself though to get the full impact. Noddy used a number of small little LEGO parts to make minifig-scale motorcycles, and then built a gorgeous sculpted landscape around them - complete with blue-flame water.
