There are a few exciting LEGO-related charitable opportunities currently going on:
- Humble Bundle is currently offering a Books Bundle of LEGO-related e-books for the next 23 hours. You can pay what you want and decide for yourself how much of your payment goes to Humble Bundle, No Starch Press, and the Electronic Frontier Foundation. Featured books (16 in all) include The LEGO Adventure Book (volume 1), two volumes of a LEGO Technic Idea Book, and LEGO Heavy Weapons, all published by our friends at No Starch Press.
- Creations for Charity is back for another year. This year's sale has already raised more than $10,000 to provide LEGO sets to children who would not otherwise have them, often in orphanages, shelters, and hospitals. It is too late to donate an original creation to raise money for C4C, but you can still purchase donated models in their BrickLink store through November 30th. They've also recently announced a return of their goofball telethon on November 25th-26th.
It's never too early to start planning builds to donate for next year's Creations For Charity - we expect next year's fundraiser to be larger than ever before.
